Inviting an Additional Admin to Manage your Church Backend

The task of adminstering the church backend might be too much for one person. You might want to invite an additional person to help manage your church backend. The Gotedo Church Management Software is built from the ground-up with a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. This makes the Gotedo software a multi-role and multi-user application. You can read more about Roles and Permissions.

To invite another member to manage your church backend, please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that member has been registered on your backend either through the Onboarding & Data Migration Module or individual registration. Make sure that the member to be invited as an email address on his or her profile details.
  2. For a new member to be invite, he or she must have an email address assigned to his or her acccount. By default, email addresses are not assigned to member's accounts when they are registered. Navigate to the All Members' Account table via the Sidebar menu: Members submenu > Members' Accounts.
  3. If you have a large data of members, in the Search Term box, type in the name of the member. In the Search field dropdown, select Full Name. Click the Search button. When you locate the member's record, scroll right to the Actions column and click the View button. You can also double-click on the row to view the member's account.
  4. On the Account Details view for the member, click Actions and select Copy Email From Profile. This will copy the member's email address from his or her profile to the account record.
  5. Still on the Account Details view for the member, click Actions and select Edit Member's Account. On the Edit form, if you need to assign a different email address, fill in the email address of the member. Select the role to be assigned to the member. Read more about Roles and Permissions.
  6. Still on the Account Edit form, you could click the Enabled button below Login Status to allow the member to log in (this is not required as the software can take care of this when the invitation is sent).
  7. Submit the Edit form to save your changes.
  8. Click the Back button to return to the Account Details view.
  9. On the Account Details view for the member, click Actions and select Send Activation Email. An activation email will be sent to the member's email address. Tell the member to check his or her email and activate his or her account. Note: Emails might not be delivered to Yahoo email addresses.
  10. When the member has activated his or her account, let him or her follow these instructions to log in..
  11. Congratulations, you have successfully granted another member management access to your church backend. You can invite as many member as you need access the backend.
